The Arusha Declaration Museum is a local museum celebrating the political history of Tanzania. Ilianzishwa mwaka 1977 mara baada ya uhuru wa Tanganyika.

The Arusha Declaration Museum is located in the Kaloleni area in Arusha town. It is the first ever museum in the Arusha region and in the northern tourist circuit. The Museum is housed in the historical building which until 1967 was used as the social welfare hall for the people of the Kaloleni area. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Arusha Declaration Museum! The Museum was founded on the 10-year anniversary of the Arusha Declaration, which was drafted 50 years ago, in 1967. It was at the museum that the National Executive Committee of TANU met to prepare the Arusha Declaration document, which proposed the National Policy of Socialism and Self-Reliance. You can come in to the museum to learn more about this historical event and other events that have shaped the history of our country.
