Oksijeni: Tofauti kati ya uhai na kifo kwa wagonjwa wanaopambana na magonjwa makali ya mfumo wa upumuaji.

Jana, Marekani ilikabidhi Mfumo wa Miundombinu ya Oksijeni Tiba ya Kimiminika wenye thamani ya dola za Marekani milioni 5.3 katika Hospitali ya Taifa Muhimbili. Mradi huu unawezesha upatikanaji wa uhakika wa oksijeni tiba kwa vitanda 278 katika hospitali sita za Dar es Salaam na Zanzibar.

Serikali ya Tanzania itahakikisha mifumo hii inadumu na kujumuishwa katika shughuli endelevu za uendeshaji wa huduma za afya katika ngazi ya taifa na hospitali husika.

Huu ni mfano wa jinsi Marekani na Tanzania zinavyoshirikiana k**a wabia wa uwekezaji katika kujenga mustakabali bora wa huduma za afya.

Oxygen: the difference between life and death for patients fighting severe respiratory illness.

Yesterday, the United States handed over a $5.3 million Medical Liquid Oxygen Infrastructure System to Muhimbili National Hospital.

The project brings reliable medical oxygen to 278 beds across six hospitals in Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar.
The Tanzanian government will ensure these systems endure and integrate them into sustainable national and facility-level operations.

This is an example of how the United States and Tanzania are working as co-investors in a brighter health future.

Msaada wa kitaalamu wa Kituo cha Marekani cha Udhibiti wa Magonjwa (U.S. CDC) husaidia kudhibiti vitisho hatari vya kiafya kabla havijakua na kuwa milipuko mikubwa zaidi.

Mkoani Kagera, CDC Global Health iliungana na Wizara Ya Afya kuendeleza lengo letu la pamoja la kuzuia kuenea kwa magonjwa kuanzia ufuatiliaji wa magonjwa katika mpaka wa Mutukula na uratibu wa hatua za kukabiliana na dharura kupitia Kituo cha Operesheni za Dharura, hadi kuwapatia wahudumu wa afya mafunzo na vitendea kazi vya kuwawezesha kugundua magonjwa mapema katika jamii.

Kazi hii inaonyesha matokeo ya ushirikiano wa U.S. CDC nchini Tanzania: mifumo imara zaidi, ufuatiliaji makini zaidi wa magonjwa, na wahudumu wa afya walio tayari kuchukua hatua za haraka. Huu ni ushirikiano wa 🇺🇸🤝🇹🇿 unaofanya kazi kuhakikisha tunaweza kuchukua hatua kabla vitisho vya kiafya havijasambaa.

This work reflects what U.S. CDC’s work in Tanzania achieves: stronger systems, sharper surveillance, and a health workforce ready to act fast. It’s the 🇺🇸🤝🇹🇿 partnership working hard to make sure that we can act before threats can spread.

Kwa miaka 65, Wafanyakazi wa Kujitolea wa Peace Corps wameiwakilisha Marekani nchini Tanzania kupitia huduma kwa jamii, ujuzi na ushirikiano.
Mpango wa Peace Corps ulianzishwa kutokana na maono ya Rais John F. Kennedy na Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, umewawezesha Wamarekani zaidi ya 3,200 kufanya kazi bega kwa bega na jamii za Kitanzania tangu mwaka 1961, ukiimarisha uhusiano kati ya mataifa yetu mawili na kukuza uelewano wa pamoja.
Peace Corps inaendelea kutumia dhamira, ari na ujuzi kuleta manufaa kwa Marekani na ulimwenguni.

Ni Jumamosi nzuri iliyoje kushiriki katika shughuli yenye lengo jema! ☀️

Septemba 19, 2026, Naibu Balozi wa Marekani Andrew Lentz alivaa viatu vyake vya michezo na kuungana na Chama cha Wafanyabiashara wa Marekani nchini Tanzania (AmCham Tanzania), pamoja na familia na marafiki, katika matembezi ya hisani ya kilomita 5. Kila hatua iliyopigwa ililenga kusaidia shirika la Tumaini la Maisha na watoto jasiri wa Kitanzania wanaopambana na saratani.

Tunajivunia sana jinsi jumuiya ya wafanyabiashara wa Marekani inavyoendelea kujitokeza, kuchangia na kusaidia shughuli zenye manufaa kwa jamii. Serikali, jamii na sekta binafsi zinaposhirikiana, mafanikio makubwa hupatikana.
Kuanzia matembezi haya ya hisani hadi Hati ya Makubaliano ya Ushirikiano katika Sekta ya Afya yenye thamani ya dola bilioni 3.1 za Marekani, iliyotiwa saini na Marekani na Tanzania mwezi Julai mwaka huu, ushirikiano wetu katika sekta ya afya unaendelea kuimarika! 🇺🇸🇹🇿

On September 19, 2026, DCM Andrew Lentz laced up his sneakers to join the American Chamber of Commerce in Tanzania, and wonderful families and friends for a 5 KM charity walk. Every step taken was to support Tumaini la Maisha and the brave Tanzanian children fighting cancer. 
 
We are incredibly proud of how the American business community continues to step up, give back, and support local causes. When governments, communities, and businesses work together, incredible things happen. From this charity walk to the $3.1 billion Health Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding the U.S. and Tanzania signed this past July, our partnership in health continues to grow stronger! 🇺🇸🇹🇿
