The City has a task of making very difficult decisions that are not taken lightly. Every decision that impacts our residents and businesses is being made in an effort to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus and save lives.

The council has met on several occasions to discuss the pandemic that we are all facing and seeking to collaborate with other stakeholders on our path forward. We are all in this together and our top priority is the health and safety of our citizens.

I want you to know that your city is here for you and we are doing everything we can to help protect our community. In order to be successful, we all need to be personally responsible. This is why I'm asking our residents to be patient, mindful and selfless as we all continue to follow the guidelines and SOPs.

Let's all work together to help stop the spread of this virus. We will get through this.

We haven't given up on the battle... We are certain that we shall overcome this enemy!

Congratulations to FDC's Doreen Nyanjura on her reappointment to the position of Deputy Lord Mayor.

Am delighted that you returned to this office. Hon Doreen is known for her grit, perseverance, strong lady who puts people first before anything else. She is service driven who has always worked tirelessly in promoting unity amongst the masses.

Despite the variance in political parties, am rest assured of working together since our political parties have a common goal of liberating this country and working towards improving the livelihoods of the citizens of Kampala.

Congratulations on your well-deserved and long-overdue victory. Best wishes as you begin your new term in office.

Am glad for this day as i will be chairing my first ever council meeting! In this meeting ,the deputy lord Mayor will be appointed & approved plus appointments and approval of other members of the city executive committees.

We have a chance to do something extraordinary. As we head out of this pandemic we can change the world. Create a world of love. A world where we are kind to each other. A world were we are kind no matter what class, race, sexual orientation, what religion or lack of or what job we have.

A world we don't judge those at the food bank because that may be us if things were just slightly different. Let love and kindness be our roadmap.

We have already sought much from the lord Mayor and can't wait to uphold the city's critical legislative agendas. We have learnt a lot about Democratic processes.

Hon. Nassaka Joyce a former councilor in Kawempe Urban Council representing the people of Mulago II has gone to be with Lord. Due to this pandemic and its restrictions, many of us will miss the chance to attend the send off of our fighter!

My deepest sympathies go out to her friends & family. May God give you the peace that you seek.

I hope that our Lord brings you and your family the much-needed peace during this sad time

It is also a victory to know when to retreat...Am thankful to the NUP authorities for organising a leadership retreat and training for new KCCA lord councillors!

I was moved by the essence of unity, grit and team work during the ex*****on of our legislative agenda since we all know that,
If a team is to reach its potential, each player must be willing to subordinate his personal goals to the good of the team.

Thanks to all the attendees, trainers for this maiden retreat. We seem changed now, fired up and ready to steer the city's agenda without forgetting the cardinal duty we have to liberate this country! Indeed we are a crop of great leaders with the ability to inspire action through proper guidance and mentorship and use our knowledge to educate others along the way.

We shall deliver and we promise the Kampala Citizens the best service ever!
