On behalf of the African compatriots and patriots,we offer our condolences to the Peoples Democratic Republic of Algeria which has lost a revered patriot and a man of honor. The late President served his country with selfless dedication during its darkest hours, proving himself a true 'moudjahid' of our time. Known for his humility and for voluntarily stepping down to uphold democratic principles, he leaves behind a legacy of dignity and principled leadership. We stand in solidarity with Algeria during this time of national mourning. May his soul rest in peace.

MSAU Ramadhan Iftar Dinner at Hotel Africana Kampala
Speech of Amb. Luyimbaazi Issah Katungulu—an African Youth Ambassador, researcher, and community leader in Uganda—
I bring warm salutations and greetings from the noblest of the seal of prophethood, Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him and His households)
This year's Ramadhan has come in the time when the world is at crossroads in the Middle East where the Islamic Republic of Iran was attacked in a military aggression by the Zionist regime of Israel and US plus the hypocritical Muslim nations that are funding genocide in Gaza, Palestine 🇵🇸 ,Sudan, Syria🇸🇾 ,Lebanon 🇱🇧, among other oppressed nations.
This war is not for Iran as a country but for all of us, including Africa, since we are part and partial as Non allied members and consumers of oil for industrial and domestic purposes.
Youth empowerment, unity, and global solidarity were at the center of discussions during the MSAU Ramadhan Iftar Dinner held at Hotel Africana, where young leaders and community members gathered to reflect on the spiritual and social values of the holy month of Ramadhan.
Delivering a keynote address, Luyimbaazi Issah Katungulu, an African Youth Ambassador, researcher, and community leader, called on young people to embrace knowledge, patriotism, and responsible leadership in shaping the future of their communities.
Katungulu began his remarks with greetings inspired by the teachings of Muhammad, emphasizing the importance of unity, learning, and moral character as core values that guide believers.
“Effective leadership begins with empowering young people to believe in themselves, develop creative skills, and transform ideas into practical solutions for sustainable development,” Katungulu said.
During the address, he highlighted the importance of patriotism and selflessness among youth, encouraging them to prepare for leadership roles and avoid being influenced by selfish interests that could hinder national and community progress.
Katungulu also stressed the importance of faith-based values in leadership, explaining that spiritual reflection and ethical conduct should guide young people in promoting peace, social cohesion, and community development.

Ambassador Katungulu noted the phrase "man can not profit this world" reflects the biblical teaching from Mark 8:36 and Matthew 16:26, questioning the value of gaining all worldly wealth and power if it costs one's soul. It emphasizes that temporary, material gains are worthless compared to eternal, spiritual well-being.
