United States Responds to Ebola Outbreak in Africa - United States Department of State 19/05/2026

The U.S. is coordinating a comprehensive response to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda in collaboration with their Ministries of Health to help contain the spread, protect American citizens, and support affected communities.
The U.S. has mobilized emergency funding, strengthened regional coordination, supported surveillance and laboratory capacity to respond quickly and effectively to the outbreak.
American leadership remains critical in confronting global health threats and advancing global health security.
