General information
Cultural Counsel of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran (CCIRI)
The CCIRI was established by the Bilateral Education, Scientific and Cultural Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Government of the Republic of Uganda in 2001.
Joint cooperation in the cultural, scientific, technical, educational, art and other related fields such as exchanging publications, films regarding historical, art and educational fields and cooperation between the National Libraries and Archive centers
Holding different exhibitions of literary, scientific, traditional art and cultural books
Holding film and cultural weeks, conferences and international festivals and cooperation
Providing the necessary facilities for the visit of scholars, researchers, students and the members of cultural societies
Cooperation between universities, scientific, Technical and art institutions
Exchanging artists and art groups
Strengthening and regulating the existing cultural relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Uganda as well as global cultural organizations;
Appropriate presentation of the Iranian culture and civilization as well as its cultural, geographical, and historical characteristics;
Activities:
1. Coordinating and providing the necessary grounds for the purpose of the signing of cultural agreements, cultural exchange programs and Moue in order to facilitate exchange in the areas of culture, science, education, art, cinema, tourism, Media, sports, etc. and participating in the conferences and seminars organized by regional and international organizations, in collaboration with concerned institutions;
2. Dissemination activities and cultural cooperation with cultural centers of Uganda as well as regional and international organizations;
3. Supporting the promotion and expansion of Academic and university activities;
4. Organizing seminars, conferences, festivals, public functions, and exhibitions in the area of culture;
5. Dissemination of the Persian language and literature as well as the promotion of university chairs in the fields of the Persian language and Iranian studies;
6.Writing and translation of books and periodicals with a view to introducing the Islamic-Iranian tenets, teachings, culture, and civilization as well as facilitating cultural exchange with other countries.
