We share Joan's journey of change from one seasonal income source to diversifying, having been participated in community initiatives facilitated by CorpsAfrica Volunteer Ashraf in Makindu village.

Supported with an irrigation pump to continuously provide water for their gardens, farmers in Makindu village can now produce green pepper throughout the year thus boosting their incomes.

Kickstart International worked with Alumni to support 14 farmer groups with irrigation pumps to support year round horticulture in Buyiga island community. This consolidated the community projects started during their service.
