“Justice for wildlife 🦏: South Africa delivers a crushing blow to poaching by sentencing a notorious Congolese rhino poacher to 18 years behind bars. 🐘 But the fight isn’t over—over 60% of Africa’s elephants lost in 50 years due to poaching and habitat destruction.

It’s time to stand with our rangers, protect our wildlife, and end the reign of terror on Africa’s majestic creatures. 💔 Who’s with us? ”

“From breathtaking sunsets over the savannah to the graceful giants roaming the plains and the tender bond of a mother and her young—nature’s beauty is unmatched. 🌅🦒🦓

But this beauty is fragile. Every species plays a vital role in our ecosystem, and it’s up to us to protect it. Together, we can ensure these moments last for generations. 🌍💚

Every day, rhinos are brutally poached for their horns, leaving behind heartbreaking scenes like orphaned calves standing helplessly beside their slain mothers. In one year alone, 1,020 rhinos were poached in South Africa—a stark reminder of the urgency to act.
As Paul Oxton said, “No one in the world needs a Rhino horn but a Rhino.” These majestic creatures are vital to our ecosystems, and their survival depends on us.
As we step into the New Year, let’s commit to being the change they need. Together, we can make 2025 a year of hope and protection for these incredible animals.

Namibian government has decided to cull 700 wild animals including 83 elephants and distribute them to the people affected by drought.
Namibia and most of Southern Africa are experiencing the worst drought in decades, with Namibia having exhausted 84% of its food reserves last month. Half of Namibia’s population is expected to experience high levels of food insecurity in the coming months. These are extreme measures being taken by the government to solve a crisis with doing even more irreversible damage to their wildlife sector. A petition is being online signed to save the poor innocent wildlife in the country.

Both Divan Human and Micheal McClellan are trophy hunters who have plagued the wildlife in the parks of South Africa. There reasons for killing these animals are purely ego based and selfish. The lion population in South Africa is estimated around 3490 and the giraffe population estimated around 39,000 these men take it upon themselves to reduce their numbers one at a time 🤬🤬.

Wildlife at Serengeti National Park

An elephant that escaped from Virunga National Park in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has been eaten by the residents of a nearby village.

“It’s like manna falling from heaven for us,” Conservationist group Conserv Congo quoted “jubilant” people from Katwiguru village as saying.

The non-profit group, which works with the country’s wildlife authority, the Congolese Institute for the Conservation of Nature (ICCN), tweeted that it was not clear whether it was rebels or villagers who had killed the animal.

An electric barrier surrounding the park several weeks ago was damaged by “youths” allowing two elephants to stray on Monday, the AFP news agency reports ICCN as saying.

The fate of the second elephant is unclear.

Virunga is a famed wildlife park in the middle of a conflict zone where many militia groups operate near the border with Rwanda and Uganda

Conservation efforts have driven rebel forces from the park - which stretches across 7,800 sq km (3,000 sq miles) - and created a safe area for elephants.

According to the park’s website, 580 elephants migrated into the park in 2020 to form a herd of about 700.
