Confederation of youth soccer programme Uganda is a non governmental organization founded by former street children and orphans who received support.
street children and orphans who received support and realized how important these neglected geniuses can be to the nation. We are enthusiastic to support the orphans, street children and the less privileged kids roaming the streets to make money by selling candy, ci******es or toys, shining shoes, picking through garbage, and begging. Street children may become victims of s*xual abuse and drug peddlers, or take on the dangerous habit of sniffing glue or participating in petty crime. Street children often dream of a better life, with a roof over their heads and sufficient food to eat. Street children in Uganda are among the most vulnerable, neglected and deprived segment of the population. It is estimated that in Uganda there are more than 10,000 children on the streets and some are disabled, sickly, illiterate and all vulnerable to r**e, family /parental torture, child trafficking and sacrifice, infection of chronicle diseases, accidents. Limited opportunities are available, accessible and affordable to the people with disabilities for prevention and cure of disablement, education, training and employment in Uganda. Confederation of Youth Soccer Programme Uganda has realized that many children have a very difficult time breaking out of their unhealthy situations so as a result these children and youths are shunned by society and forced to live on the streets. So these children need special footwear, medical supplies, education, and clothing among other. Key values
We believe that we can achieve child development by empowering people through education, justice, health, equality and encouraging economic empowerment. We intend to facilitate the process by enabling people to be productive and self- reliant. Due to child labour about 3% of children 5-17 years in households of Slum dwellers and rural never attended school because they are either too young, disabled, have no school requirements or school is too far which makes them vulnerable to child labour. Child trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) are some of the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Uganda but are considered hidden, complex and corrosive. Children are also engaged in hazardous work in form of domestic helpers, brick layers, general labourers, construction labourers, sand mining, stone quarrying, forestry undertaking tree planting, tree cutting, and in industries. CSEC pre disposes children to HIV/AIDS, early pregnancies and other STDs. CONFEDERATION OF YOUTH SOCCER PROGRAMME UGANDA- Orphans
Currently, Uganda has about 3 million orphans. Conservative estimates predict this number is growing to fast exponentially as the AIDS epidemic and wars sweeps a whole generation of parents away. The average Ugandan family has 7 children. When parents die, their children are too great a burden for extended family to carry. Relatives already struggle to provide for their own. As a result, the children are farmed out to different family members in diverse locations. Therefore, an orphaned child loses not only his parents, but often his siblings as well. Some are treated poorly by resentful relatives. Others try to survive on the streets. In all respects, they are outcasts. In the north, many children have lost their families as the result of a 20 year war. They come from slum cities (IDP camps), initially created by the Ugandan government to protect citizens from the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a rebel group led by Joseph Kony. During the war, the LRA pulled young boys from their beds and forced them to be soldiers with a kill-or-be killed mandate. Countless girls were also kidnapped and used as s*x slaves. Many have young babies though they themselves are still children. Some kids saw their own parents killed by the rebel army. The war has ended, but the kids left behind are traumatized beyond belief. Knowing only instability and terror since their abduction, they have reached the depths of despondency. Confederation of Youth Soccer Programme Uganda- Uganda is dedicated to take care and shelter Ugandan orphans. Our aim is to rescue, stabilize, nurture and educate as many orphans as possible. Our motivation is love. We see these kids as Uganda’s future leaders. Building a Sustainable Future for the Children of Uganda
Our focus on early childhood education provides important life skills and knowledge to enable each child to successfully learn and grow. Medical care and AIDs education is helping to prevent the spread of disease and improve childhood health. Training in sustainable agriculture and farming methods is helping caregivers feed young children. Confederation of Youth Soccer Programme - Uganda is planning to build a home for these homeless orphans. Houses 50-60 children. We hope to offer many of them a future and hope. Most kids resort to going to these streets where there is no shelter, no food, no clothing while trying to look for rescue just because they are ignorant about the available organization like Confederation of Youth Soccer Programme Uganda- Uganda so We create this awareness. And some relatives that can not look after these kids are also ignorant about such organizations. HIV / AIDS
Uganda being the eighth in the world with the highest rate of HIV/AIDS infection. This has led to higher number of orphans who only remain with their relatives to look after them. But because most of these relatives also have extended families, can not manager looking after them as well, so they send them away. And those that take them up mistreat them by not sending them to school but rather making them maids and house boys. VISION
Creating Suitable Environment For Under prevailed Children
