LGRB's mandate is to Licence, Inspect , Enforce and resolve disputes across the gaming industry in Uganda.

The Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (LGRB) is a Body corporate established under the Lotteries and Gaming Act No. 7 of 2016. The LGRB was established to enforce the law relating to the conduct of lotteries, gaming, betting and casinos, to establish the national lotteries and gaming regulatory board, to provide for licensing and regulation of lotteries, gaming and betting; to provide for taxation of casinos, gaming and betting activities.

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has been appointed by the Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board of Uganda to support it in developing new technical standards for the gaming industry in the country.

Juliet Namuli, Acting CEO of the Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board of Uganda, said: “The development and adoption of a robust set of technical standards to govern the integrity of gaming software and equipment and ensure the protection of players is our number one priority.
