Securing Women’s Land Rights: From Documentation to Inclusive Governance!
This afternoon, PELUM Uganda will be at Zambezi Hall, Hotel Africana, leading a critical discussion at the 4th Women’s Land Rights Conference 2026 on “Securing Women’s Land Rights: Expanding Land Documentation and Inclusive Land Governance.”
The conversation will explore practical measures to strengthen women’s access to documented land rights, address barriers to land ownership and control, and ensure women meaningfully participate in land governance and decision-making processes.
Women are central to food production, household livelihoods and community development. Securing their land rights is therefore essential for gender equality, sustainable livelihoods and inclusive development.
📢 Join the conversation as we work towards a future where every woman’s land rights are recognized, documented and protected!

HER LAND. HER RIGHTS. HER FUTURE.

Women contribute significantly to agriculture and household livelihoods, yet barriers to land documentation, discriminatory practices and limited participation in land-related decisions continue to threaten their land rights.

At the 4th Women’s Land Rights Conference 2026, PELUM Uganda is working alongside partners to advance practical solutions that strengthen women’s land tenure security and promote inclusive land governance.

📍 Hotel Africana, Kampala
📅 15–16 October 2026

Through our side session, “Securing Women’s Land Rights: Expanding Land Documentation and Inclusive Land Governance,” we are promoting dialogue, evidence-sharing and actionable recommendations to ensure women can access documented land rights and meaningfully participate in decisions that affect their land.
Secure women’s land rights. Strengthen food security. Build resilient communities.

Connecting, Collaborating and Co-creating for Agroecology in Lango!

Today, PELUM Uganda is participating in the 1st 2026, taking place at Kyoga Resort Hotel in Amolatar.

Held under the theme “Connect, Collaborate and Co-create in Promoting Agroecology,” the symposium brings together farmers, policymakers, researchers, civil society, local government, cultural leaders, development partners and other agroecology actors to share evidence, local knowledge, innovations and experiences.

As agroecology continues to gain momentum as a pathway towards resilient, equitable and sustainable food systems, PELUM Uganda is proud to contribute to this important regional dialogue.

The symposium provides an opportunity to strengthen networks, exchange knowledge and generate evidence-based recommendations that can support the integration and scaling of agroecology in policies and practice.

Together, we can strengthen the agroecology movement and build food systems that work for people and nature.
