VPSO is under the Command of Sheriff Eddie Langlinais, 30th Sheriff of Vermilion Parish. The mission of the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office is to be a committed, transparent, and accountable law enforcement agency who fosters unity and collaboration among citizens and law enforcement through community engagement. As leaders of our community, we are dedicated to safeguarding all lives and property within Vermilion Parish, preserving order by pursuing violators of the law and promoting justice, to reduce crime and improve quality of life for our citizens. This agency shall display professional excellence and fairness in every encounter, treating every person with impartiality, as we execute our commitments to compassionate service and leadership by example. To aid in upholding this Mission, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office (VPSO), maintains this page which serves as a limited public forum for the purpose of sharing information with Vermilion Parish citizens.
