I don’t stress. I don’t worry. I take it to the pavement.
Because life will always come down to one thing — choices.

Every day you wake up with two options:
You can struggle through life, dragging the weight of excuses, doubt, and hesitation…
or you can decide that your life is worth living, worth building, worth fighting for.

The pavement doesn’t lie.
It doesn’t sugarcoat.
It doesn’t care how you feel.
It reflects exactly what you put into it — your discipline, your consistency, your drive.

Life is the same way.
You get out what you put in.
You either move with intention or you get moved by circumstance.

I choose to move.
I choose to act.
I choose to own every step, every decision, every outcome.

Because at the end of the day, it’s all on you — your effort, your attitude, your standard.
No one is coming to save you. No one is coming to carry you.
You either build the life you want or you settle for the one you tolerate.

So I take it to the pavement.
I put in the work.
I stay disciplined.
I stay focused.
I stay HUMP.

Life is about choices — and I choose to make mine count.

“Chief, you don’t have to be here in the morning.”

Me: 😳 Nooooo? Fa sho.

So I hit the streets early — because it’s FRIDAY, and leaders don’t miss opportunities.

Warrant Officers — ALL Y’ALL.

If you think your only chance to get guidance from the boss is during office hours, you’re already behind.
Sometimes the ONLY window you’ll get is during PT.
And if you can’t run with them, you can’t reach them.

- Presence matters.
- Example matters.
- Visibility matters.

Your Soldiers need to SEE you out there getting that work.

Not hearing about it. Not posting about it.
SEEING it.

Because whether you realize it or not —THEY ARE WATCHING. TRUST ME.

🚨🚨Long Post Alert - Worth the Read!!! 🚨🚨

As Warrant Officers, technical agility is only half the battle — and it’s the easiest half!

The moment you neglect the leadership dimension, you stop being what the Cohort needs and start becoming a liability to the formation.

Technical skill gets you in the room.
Leadership keeps you relevant in it.

A Warrant Officer must be well‑rounded, because credibility isn’t earned through MOS knowledge alone — it’s earned through:

💡Value-added presence — showing up with solutions, clarity, and judgment.

💡Leadership competence — guiding Soldiers, advising Commanders, and elevating standards.

💡Professional maturity — knowing when to influence, when to teach, and when to enforce.

💡Institutional awareness — understanding the Army beyond your technical lane.

When a Warrant Officer is only technical, they become one-dimensional — and one-dimensional leaders lose trust fast.

When you aren’t value added, people stop seeking your counsel.

When you aren’t leading, people stop following your example.

When you aren’t well-rounded, your rank becomes decoration instead of influence.

Professional Tips for Preparing to Join a New Unit

These aren’t in any particular order — because every one of them matters.

1. Fresh Uniform & Boots

Starting fresh sets the tone. A new uniform and boots signal professionalism, pride, and a clean slate. Use your older set for field work or save it until you’re fully established.

2. Study the Unit’s History

Leaders respect Soldiers who respect the lineage.
Knowing the unit’s campaigns, honors, and legacy shows you’re invested before you even sign in.

3. Meet AR 600‑9 Standards

You don’t have to get ready when you stay ready.
Showing up in compliance demonstrates discipline, self‑respect, and commitment to the profession.

4. Arrive Early With a Positive Attitude

New environment, new personalities, new expectations. Be early, be open‑minded, and make your own observations. Never let hearsay shape your perspective.

5. Speak to Everyone & Learn Names

Respect is a universal language. Greeting people and learning names shows humility, confidence, and genuine intent to be part of the team.

🚨🚨Long Post Alert but Worth the Read!! 🚨🚨

Excellence isn’t accidental — it’s intentional, disciplined, and rooted in how you show up every single day.

To stand out and truly excel in your role:

Understand your organization’s mission and let it guide your decisions.

Build real relationships with your boss and teammates — professionally and personally.

Know exactly how your role strengthens the organization and lean into it.

Lock in on your boss’s vision and intent so you can anticipate needs, not just react.

Study how your boss thinks — their priorities, patterns, and pressure points.

Communicate clearly and consistently with everyone across the organization.

Be genuine. Authenticity builds trust faster than any title ever will.

Follow up on conversations to show you’re listening, engaged, and committed.

This is how you separate yourself.
This is how you become indispensable.
This is how you lead — no matter your position.

Stay locked in. Stay intentional. Stay excellent.

SSG Cole reaffirmed his commitment to our Army this morning, and I had the honor of administering his Oath of Enlistment.

He is the definition of a silent but proficient leader—one of those steady professionals who never seeks the spotlight, yet consistently delivers at a level that strengthens every formation he touches.

His decision to re-enlist is a win for his family, his unit, and the United States Army. Retaining talent like his is how we preserve readiness, continuity, and the standard of excellence expected from our NCO Corps.

🚨🚨 USAWOA: Strengthen the Cohort. Strengthen the Legacy.🚨🚨

Many Warrant Officers don’t join USAWOA because they’ve never been invited, never been mentored, or never been shown the value.

We fix that by increasing visibility, mentorship, digital reach, and senior leader involvement.

🦅 What We Must Do

Increase visibility at the unit level — every WO should know USAWOA before they pin CW2.

Make membership personal — senior CW4s/CW5s mentoring and inviting junior WOs.

Build a powerful mentor network — career guidance, transitions, broadening, leadership development.

Boost digital presence — videos, webinars, LinkedIn, chapter spotlights, podcasts.

Partner with senior NCOs & talent managers — they identify WO potential first.

Showcase success stories — operational wins, community impact, transitions, scholarships.

Connect Active, Guard, Reserve, and Retired WOs — one cohort, one mission, one legacy.

Create and sustain local engagement — coffee with a Chief, town halls, PD lunches, PT events, collaborative volunteer events, and family events, to name a few

💥 Bottom Line

USAWOA isn’t just an organization — it’s the professional home of the Warrant Officer Cohort.

When senior Warrant Officers lead from the front, stay visible, and invest in the next generation, membership grows, engagement rises, and the Cohort gets stronger.

Success begins with us. 💯💯💯🦅🦅🦅🔥🔥🔥
