We are very proud to welcome Brad Harms to the South Dakota Army National Guard. Brad enlisted today as an Allied Trades Specialist (91E) and will become proficient as a machinist and welder. He will be joining the FSC 109th Eng BN out of Rapid City, SD. He qualified for the Montgomery GI Bill as well as the Kicker, and will be able to utilize 💯 State Tuition Assistance for schooling when he completes his training. We are excited have him on our team!

We are very proud to welcome Ryder Davis to the South Dakota Army National Guard. Ryder enlisted today as Corrections/Detention Specialist (31E), into the Det.1, 235th MP Company out of Sioux Falls, SD. He qualified for the Montgomery GI Bill as well as 💯 State Tuition Assistance for schooling when he completes his training. Ryder graduated from Aberdeen Central HS and is planning to attend SDSU when returns home from training. We are excited to have him on our team!

It was so awesome getting to be part of the exciting week Edmunds Central created for their students. I can’t say enough about the incredible staff and students working together to make learning fun and engaging. 🩵

It was also pretty great picking up a few hitchhikers along the way… 😉Thing 1, Thing 2, and the elusive Cat in the Hat!

He qualified for the Montgomery GI Bill as well as 💯 State Tuition Assistance for schooling when he completes his training. Angel is attending Northern State University and will graduate next May. We are excited to have him on our team!

Today, I had the honor and privilege of enlisting Kennedy Ubaka into the South Dakota Army National Guard. Kennedy is a true testament to the spirit of service—an individual who genuinely wants to defend our nation and protect the rights of all Americans. His journey is remarkable; he did not grow up with the same sense of safety and freedom that many of us go to sleep with each night. Yet, instead of letting this define his story, he chose to step forward and step up—to serve, to protect, and to give back to the country he now calls home. Kennedy’s commitment and courage remind us all of the strength found in service and the sacrifice required to preserve freedom. We are proud to welcome him into our Guard family. Mr. Ubaka enlisted as an 88M, joining the 740th Transportation Company out of Aberdeen, SD.

We are excited for tomorrow! Hope all the 6th grade thru 12th grade student athletes can make it to this great team building event. The South Dakota National Guard has some fun team activities planned. Our guest speaker will give an inspiring message on leadership and team work. Supper will be served for the athletes. And Mr. Knust and the coaches will give information on the up coming school year and sports requirements for parents and athletes.
