Fire District 2 and Montesano Fire Department are currently assisting East Grays Harbor Fire And Rescue responding to a structure fire in the 1000 block of W. Martin Street in Elma. Please avoid the area and give emergency crews plenty of room to work safely.

This marks the second mutual aid structure fire response this shift for District 2 and Montesano Fire personnel.

With temperatures expected to remain high throughout the week, we encourage everyone to use extra caution and avoid potential ignition sources. Properly extinguish campfires, avoid parking vehicles in tall dry grass, and use caution with equipment or activities that may create sparks.

We appreciate your cooperation and support as crews work to protect life and property.

☎️ As the summer months begin and temperatures rise, Grays Harbor Fire District 2 would like to make residents and visitors aware of a new resource available at two of our outlying fire stations.

Emergency 911-only phones have been installed at our Wynoochee Valley Station and Brady Station. These phones are clearly marked and mounted on the exterior of the buildings, allowing anyone in the area to quickly contact emergency services when needed.

We recognize that cell phone reception can be limited in some parts of our district, particularly in more rural and remote areas. These emergency phones help ensure that residents, visitors, hikers, campers, and travelers have a reliable way to request assistance during an emergency.

If you are in the Wynoochee Valley or Brady area and need emergency help but are unable to call 911 from your cell phone, these phones are available for your use.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and enjoy your summer in Grays Harbor County.

Grays Harbor Fire District 2 is proud to announce the arrival of the new Brush 211!

The brush bed was procured through a Washington State DNR grant, and the used chassis was purchased with department funds. This addition allows us to place a brush truck at each fire station, improving the District’s ability to respond to wildland fires and other emergencies throughout our community.

A special thank you goes to FF/EMT-IV Casey Hogarty, the District’s mechanic, who dedicated countless hours to assembling, outfitting, and placing the truck into service. His hard work and expertise were instrumental in turning this project from a concept into a fully operational apparatus ready to serve our community.

Thank you to Washington State Department of Natural Resources for helping make this project possible, and to Larsen Sign Company for the graphics and finishing touches.

A little belated, but no less deserving of recognition!

GHFD2 would like to congratulate our volunteer members who successfully completed their EMT courses and Firefighter 1 Academy earlier this year.

Both of these certifications require months of training, studying, hands-on practice, and a serious commitment of personal time. For volunteer members, that means showing up after work, on weekends, and around family responsibilities to continue building the skills needed to serve our community.

Please join us in congratulating our newest EMTs
🚑Dryden Enzler
🚑 Justin Blazek

And our newest Firefighters:
🔥 Marcus Panaguia
🔥 James Erickson
🔥 John Files

Congratulations to each of you! Grays Harbor Fire District 2 is proud of your hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our department and our community.
