🦃💙 LET’S MAKE THANKSGIVING A LITTLE BRIGHTER! 💙🦃

Last year, our Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway was a HUGE success, and we're excited to bring it back this year! And don't worry — we're planning another big turkey purchase to help pay it forward in a BIG way! ❤️ But this year, we're inviting our amazing community to join in the fun and help us spread a little extra Thanksgiving kindness.

If you're feeling generous and want to get into the holiday spirit, we'd love your help collecting a few essentials to make Thanksgiving dinner a little easier for local families!

🥫 HERE'S WHAT WE'RE COLLECTING:

- Canned corn
- Canned green beans
- Boxed stuffing
- Canned cranberry sauce
- Instant mashed potatoes

These items can be dropped off at the Aberdeen Police Department anytime before Saturday, November 21!

🦃 WANT TO DONATE A FROZEN, WHOLE TURKEY?

We'll be accepting frozen turkey donations on the two days leading up to the giveaway:

📅 Thursday, November 19 & Friday, November 20
⏰ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Aberdeen Police Department

Whether it's a can of corn, a box of stuffing, or a whole turkey, every donation helps us do a little more for our neighbors. And if donating isn't in the cards this year, that's okay too! We're already gearing up to make a big impact. 💙

Thank you for always showing up for Aberdeen. Let's make this Thanksgiving about more than just what's on the table — let's make it about taking care of each other.

A little kindness, a little gravy, and a whole lot of community. 🦃💙

❤️ MOORE COUNTY, YOU DID IT AGAIN! ❤️

We tried last month, but Mother Nature had other plans and rained us out after just an hour. 🌧️ But yesterday, we came back, and WOW! The generosity was second to none!

Thanks to this incredible community, we raised OVER $1,400 for Special Olympics North Carolina! 🏆 And the best part? 100% of the money raised goes directly to the athletes! ❤️

A HUGE thank-you to Chick-fil-A for hosting us and for their continued support of our athletes, and to our friends at Southern Pines Police Department for teaming up with us to make this event a success! 💙

Thank you to the entire community, you showed up, showed out, and reminded us once again what an amazing community we get to serve. We couldn't do it without you!

Same mission. Same community. Incredible impact. 🏅

❤️ We want to give a special shout-out to Ms. Kay Moss, representing the Sardine Festival, for stopping by and presenting us with two incredibly generous donations! 🙌

One donation will support Special Olympics North Carolina, a cause we proudly fundraise for all year long. 🏅 This donation helps to provide opportunities for the amazing athletes with intellectual disabilities to compete, build confidence, and shine both on and off the playing field.

The second donation will support our upcoming Shop with a Cop event this December! 🎄🎁 This annual program gives local children the opportunity to shop alongside a police officer for Christmas, creating meaningful connections, lasting memories, and a little extra holiday magic.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and community spirit! Both causes mean so much to our department, and support like this allows us to continue making a positive impact. 💙

Thank you, Ms. Moss, and thank you to the Sardine Festival for investing in our community and supporting two amazing causes! ❤️👮‍♂️

🎃🍬 TEENAGERS TRICK-OR-TREATING: LET’S TALK ABOUT IT.

We know this might be a controversial topic, but here's our take: IF THEY SHOW UP, GIVE THEM CANDY! 👏

👻 Wearing a costume? GIVE THEM CANDY.

🙋‍♂️ Being respectful and saying “trick or treat”? GIVE THEM CANDY.

🎃 Just enjoying being a kid a little longer, even if they're built like a defensive lineman? GIVE. THEM. CANDY. 😂

Listen, adulthood comes with bills, taxes, and back pain. Let them enjoy the free candy while they can! 🍫

We'd rather see teenagers out making innocent memories than sitting around wishing they'd gotten one more Halloween.

You're never too old for Halloween, and nobody's ever too tall for a Snickers. 😂🍬

Aberdeen, let's keep the Halloween spirit alive! 🧡🖤
