NeighborWorks® of Grays Harbor County works to revitalize the communities of Grays Harbor County, Washington through affordable housing opportunities, education, financial assistance, lending coordination, and technical assistance. NeighborWorks® of Grays Harbor combines our programs and financial resources with those of lenders, contractors, landlords, other non-profits, and neighborhoods. Our mission is to develop partnerships in the community between business, government, and residents to create safe and affordable housing opportunities for all residents of Grays Harbor County. We make this happen for our clients by combining our program and financial resources with those of lenders, contractors, landlords, other non profits and neighborhoods. Our full-time staff of eight is involved in many things that help promote safe and affordable housing in Grays Harbor. Services include Housing Counseling, Direct Lending programs (income based), Construction Management and Housing development projects.

Through the Community Impact Grant Program, the Ocean Spray Community Fund (https://www.oceanspray.com/community-fund) provides resources to organizations that improve the quality of life in our farmer communities. We are proud to partner with organizations raising up their local communities and families.

Thank you, Ocean Spray! This year, NeighborWorks of Grays Harbor received $1000.00 to be added to our Home Repair Loan Program. This is a revolving loan program that helps income qualified individuals repair their homes to maintain safe and healthy living. As the money is paid back, it is loaned out again. Qualified repairs include, foundation work, electrical, plumbing, roof and handicapped access repairs. Some limitations apply. To find out more about this program, call the NeighborWorks Office and arrange to speak with a loan specialist about the Home Repair Loan Program.

When does owning a home become too much to handle? Around this time of year we receive many calls from people on fixed incomes needing repairs to their roof or foundation. Unfortunately, NeighborWorks does not have grant money available at this time to help with these types of repairs.
