There’s something about a Texas sunrise that reminds us why we do what we do.

Every sunrise brings a fresh start, a new opportunity, and a reminder that even after the darkest nights, light always finds its way through.

In EMS, we see people on some of their hardest days. We witness heartbreak, courage, strength, and hope. We don't always know what the next call will bring, but we know that when someone needs us, we'll be there.

At Taylor County EMS, serving our community is more than just a job. It's a calling, a commitment, and a privilege.

As the sun rises over Taylor County, we're reminded to be grateful for another day, another chance to serve, and another opportunity to make a difference in someone's life.

Because every day is a gift, every life matters, and every moment is an opportunity to leave the world a little better than we found it.

Taylor County EMS would like to give a BIG thank you to First Baptist Church in Buffalo Gap for inviting us out to teach an Adult & Child CPR and Choking class!

We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to learn these life-saving skills. When members of our community reach out to learn how to respond in an emergency, it can make a tremendous difference in outcomes when every second counts! 🫶🏼🚑

🎡 Welcome back West Texas Fair & Rodeo, it’s Sneak-A-Peek Night! 🎡

Our First Aid ⛑️ Station is located in front of the Round Building, near the Taylor County Sheriff's Office tent, and we’ll have Medics on-site remaining vigilant and prepared to respond at a moment’s notice should an incident occur. Stop to say Hi and definitely come see us if you have any medical needs while out enjoying this year’s West Texas Fair & Rodeo!

🚑 A Big Thank You to Our Neighbors & Partners! 🚑

Yesterday was a busy day for Citizens EMS, with our crews responding to 8 calls in less than a 12-hour span, including a multiple-patient motor vehicle collision.

With our crews committed to multiple incidents, we were grateful to have our neighbors at Taylor County EMS step in and provide mutual aid coverage for our community. We also want to thank the volunteer fire departments and law enforcement officers who assisted our crews on scene, helping with patient care, traffic, scene safety, and everything else it takes to keep an incident moving safely.

In a rural area like ours, where resources and responding agencies can be spread across many miles, that teamwork matters. Days like yesterday are an important reminder that providing 24/7 emergency medical service isn't simply about the number of calls we respond to. Readiness means having the staffing, ambulances, equipment, and resources available when multiple emergencies happen at the same time.

As a nonprofit rural EMS service, we are incredibly thankful for the neighboring agencies, volunteer first responders, public safety partners, community members, and local entities whose support helps make that readiness possible.

Yesterday took a team, and we are grateful to everyone who stepped up when our communities needed it. 💙🚑🚒🚓🤝
