RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY!

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for us! Due to the rainy weather, the Abilene Police Department's Trunk or Treat event has been canceled.

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to all of the local businesses and community partners who generously supported this event. Your contributions helped make this event possible, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support of APD and our community!

We're disappointed we won't get to see all the awesome costumes and smiling faces, but we appreciate everyone's understanding.

Stay safe, stay dry, and have a Happy Halloween!

🚨 A Friendly Reminder from the Abilene Police Department 🚨

As we enjoy the fall season, Halloween festivities, trunk-or-treat events, and fall festivals, we encourage everyone to share the road and look out for one another. Please remain alert and watch for pedestrians, especially children and families who may be crossing roadways while attending seasonal events.

No matter the season, remember to buckle up, stay alert, and slow down. A few extra seconds of caution can make a significant difference in keeping our community safe.

🎀October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!🎀

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is dedicated to promoting education, encouraging early detection, supporting patients and their families, and raising funds for continued research. The pink ribbon serves as a universal symbol of breast cancer awareness, hope, and solidarity.

The Abilene Police Department is proud to show its support for this important cause while serving our community. Throughout the month of October, you may notice our officers displaying pink badges as a visible sign of support for those affected by breast cancer.

We stand with survivors, honor those we have lost, and support everyone continuing to fight this disease.
Thank you, Abilene, for your continued support of the Abilene Police Department and our community! 💗

They said we needed to do more to clean up the streets… Officer Tucker took that assignment literally! 😂

After a traffic accident, Officer Tucker pitched in with the wrecker crew and helped clean up a slick hazard left behind in the roadway. Talk about taking “community cleanup” to the next level! 🧹🚔
