We are incredibly grateful to announce that Ballad Health has donated $65,000 to the Children’s Advocacy Center at Highlands Community Services.
This generous contribution supports our Victim Support Navigator Program, ensuring that any child and his or her caregivers who present at our local hospitals for a sexual assault examination have access to a specially trained advocate during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Our Navigators walk alongside families every step of the way — providing emotional support, guidance, and referrals to critical services offered through the Children’s Advocacy Center and other community agencies.
Because of partnerships like this, children and families in our region will continue to receive compassionate, trauma-informed care when they need it most.
Thank you, Ballad Health , for your commitment to protecting and supporting the children and families of our community. 💙

May is National Treatment Court Month, a time to recognize the life-changing impact treatment courts have on individuals, families, and communities.
Treatment courts connect individuals with support, accountability, and treatment — helping reduce crime, promote recovery, save taxpayer dollars, and create lasting opportunities for change.
At Highlands Community Services, we are proud to recognize the important role treatment courts play in strengthening our communities and supporting individuals as they work toward healthier, more stable futures.
Treatment works. Recovery is possible. Communities are stronger when people have the support they need to succeed.

Fentanyl Awareness Day 2026 💜
Highlands Community Services spent the week out in the community sharing resources, and support to help raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and the importance of prevention.
From the Hidden Potential Summit and HCS Parenting Classes to Cumberland Square Park, Bristol’s Children’s Day, and National Drug Take Back Day, our team connected with individuals and families through meaningful conversations, prevention materials, safe medication disposal education, harm reduction resources, and information on naloxone.
We are proud to stand alongside our community partners as we continue working to prevent substance misuse, support recovery, and keep our communities safe.
