NYC just hit #1 globally—but Oxford Economics does not credit Mamdani’s policies for the ranking. 🌆📊

Oxford Economics’ 2026 index ranks New York first among 1,000 cities, based on economics, human capital, quality of life, environment and governance. Mamdani has separately advanced policies including a rent freeze and expanded free childcare, but the ranking should not be presented as proof those policies caused NYC’s #1 position.

When he was 28, James Talarico almost died.

During his first campaign for the Texas House of Representatives, James walked the entire length of his district, 25 miles, in one day.

About halfway through, James began feeling nauseous and fatigued. Despite getting sick a couple of times, he finished the walk and held town halls across his district.

However, when he got home, James slept for 36 hours before his family rushed him to the ER. There, James learned he has type 1 diabetes and that he was in diabetic ketoacidosis—which could have resulted in death without insulin.

After being released from the hospital, James was shocked at the $684 price tag on his first 30-day supply of insulin—a medicine that only costs Big Pharma $10 to make.

From that moment on, James understood why so many people with diabetes ration or skip doses. That is why when he made it to the state legislature in Texas, James passed bills to cap the price of insulin at $25 a month.

“For years, politicians allowed Big Pharma to push people into bankruptcy or face death because corporate profit came first,” he explained. “With our bill, we put an end to Big Pharma’s manipulation of the insulin market.”

James Talarico is running to take the fight for guaranteed health care to our nation’s capital and finally put the lives of Americans over the profits of billionaire mega-donors and special interests.
