APD Activity Log.

The Acton Police Department is excited to announce that Officer Trevor Prescott was officially sworn in today by the Town Clerk Leo Mercado.

Officer Prescott graduated from the Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy on June 12, 2026. During the academy, he earned the Top Gun Award, recognizing the highest level of marksmanship proficiency among his classmates.

Before entering law enforcement, Trevor served as a Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps, including assignments providing security at U.S. embassies and diplomatic facilities including the Embassies/Consulates of Pakistan, Thailand and Morocco where he finished his service as the Assistant Detachment Commander. During his military career, he supervised personnel, managed training and compliance programs, and was recognized with the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his leadership and dedication to mission accomplishment. He also received a Meritorious Mast for his actions in providing immediate assistance to victims following a serious motor vehicle crash in Pakistan.

The Acton Police Department is pleased to announce our newest Patrol Officer, Trevor Prescott, graduated from the Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy today. Trevor was also the recipient of the "Top Gun" Marksmanship Award during his graduation.

***Sudbury Road Detour***
Due to large equipment in the roadway at the intersection of Powder Mill Road and Sudbury Road, all traffic for Sudbury Road will be detoured through the Stratus parking lot. Please follow signage for access to the Acton Senior Center. The detour should end around 2pm.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at the Acton Wellness Fair today. We had a great turnout and we were able to hand out some new bike helmets thanks to a bicycle safety grant from the state.
