Founded in 1876, the Alert Hose Company No. 1 is an all-volunteer organization charged with the responsibility of providing fire suppression and other emergency service manpower to the Adams Fire Department for the Berkshire County town of Adams, Massachusetts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Firefighter Sunday memorial service today at 11am at Belluvue cemetery. A day to remember and respect the past members of the Alert Hose Co who have proudly served the town and citizens of Adams. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Northern Berkshire Solid Waste Management District has announced collection dates and costs for this year. NBSWMD is s collaboration of a 14 member municipalities within Western Massachusetts providing information and resources pertaining to recycling with ultimate goal of preserving the planet.
The Saturday, June 20th collection of electronics, bulk waste and scrap metal will have all proceeds donated to our department. Clean up your old materials and help support us and the earth by dropping off your items at the former landfill, 242 East Rd. from 8AM to 12PM. Thank you!

Firefighter Memorial ceremony this Sunday June 14th at 11am, Bellevue Cemetery. The Alerts continue this yearly tradition honoring those who have proudly served the Adams community. This event is open to the public and we welcome your attendance as the Alerts continue to give back to the citizens of Adams on our 150th anniversary.

Although the recent snow flurries and temperature drops don't reflect it - spring is here and as such, the Alerts have gotten our firefighter's memorial at Bellevue Cemetery ready by putting up our flags and lights so they can honor our deceased members day and night.
