The Town will begin a concrete street crack sealing project in select neighborhood areas on May 26, with work expected to wrap up by June 2. This maintenance work helps protect streets from water damage and extend the life of the pavement.
During construction, residents may notice construction equipment and crews in the area as well as a temporary odor from sealing materials. There may be short delays when entering or exiting driveways and temporary restrictions on on-street parking in active work zones, but access to homes will be maintained at all times.
Work will take place during daytime hours only. Drivers are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work areas. For questions, contact Public Works and Engineering at 972-450-2871.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this important maintenance project.

Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, and Farmers Branch gathered for the annual Quad City Police Memorial, a ceremony dedicated to honoring the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities. During the event, the Police Chiefs from each city shared the names of the Texas officers who lost their lives in the line of duty last year, along with the fallen officers from their departments, a solemn reminder of the courage, dedication, and selflessness demonstrated by these officers each day.
Addison Police Chief Chris Freis recognized Officer Ronnie Cox, Addison’s only line‑of‑duty fallen officer. Officer Cox’s End of Watch was December 15, 1986, and his legacy continues to be a meaningful part of Addison’s history.
Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore Darren Gardner joined other city leaders, community members, first responders, and families who came together in gratitude and remembrance, reaffirming our collective commitment to honoring those we have lost and supporting those who continue to safeguard our region.
