Do you have a student with an IEP?

The October Parent Connections event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28th, 5:00-7:00 PM, at TLC. This will be a Halloween Social Event. There will be no presentations at this meeting...just trick or treating, crafts, and games. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes!

A huge THANK YOU to Warm Coats for Cool Kids for generously donating 176 brand new coats for our students!

Warm Coats for Cool Kids is a local nonprofit organization founded in 2021 that is dedicated to providing warm winter coats, hats, and gloves to children in need throughout the western suburbs of Chicago. Their mission goes beyond keeping children warm: they help kids feel confident, comfortable, and ready to take on the winter season.

We are so grateful to have community partners who care so deeply about our kids! Thank you for helping us keep our District 4 students warm.

Last call for costume donations!

Congratulations to our Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser team!

Our students sold an incredible $15,748 in popcorn, raising $7,874 for Wesley's Student Activity Fund... future salesmen and saleswomen in the making!

So, what will these funds help support? Fun opportunities and experiences for our students: games and activities for indoor recess, end-of-year activities like Field Day, and celebrations when students reach their goals.

Big congrats to our students, families, and community for making this fundraiser such a success!

Our Teaching and Learning Department brings in a keynote speaker each Institute Day to share new ideas, insights, and strategies with our staff. This Fall Institute Day, we had the opportunity to hear from Brian Mendler, an educator, author, and speaker who specializes in classroom management, student behavior, and student engagement.

One message that stood out was, “The behavior isn’t always the problem. Sometimes, it’s the kid’s solution.” Brian shared insights into understanding student behavior and navigating the challenges educators face in the classroom every day.

Thank you to Brian Mendler for spending the day with our staff and sharing his experience and expertise! A special shoutout to Dr. Katie Purse and our Teaching and Learning Department for coordinating another valuable Institute Day for our staff.

SURPRISE ATTENDANCE DAY!

Today was the first Surprise Attendance Day at Lincoln!

Every student who was at school today earned a special surprise… EXTRA RECESS!

Being at school every day matters, and we love finding fun ways to celebrate our Bulldogs for showing up and being ready to learn!

Here’s the catch… students never know when Surprise Attendance Day is coming! Once each month, a Surprise Attendance Day will be randomly chosen, and every student who is in attendance that day will receive a special reward!

Shoutout to our awesome admin and teacher team at Lincoln who goes above and beyond for our students.
