While organizing the Village Archives today, I came across an old lockbox with this really weird carving in it. It's heavy, made out of brass I think. Anybody have any ideas what it could be for?

Beginning next week (10/27/22) the Village of Addyston Police Department in cooperation with the Office of Code Enforcement will begin an initiative to address Disabled/Abandoned Motor Vehicles in the Village.

This will be a campaign involving private/public property as it relates to Village Ordinance : Section 15-601.7 "The Parking of a disabled vehicle within any residential district for a period of more than 2 weeks shall be prohibited; except that such vehicle may be stored in an enclosed garage or other accessory building provided that no business shall be conducted in connection therewith while such vehicle is parked or stored"

Beginning 10/27/2022 both departments will patrol the village to identify vehicles not meeting Ordinance Section 15-601.7. At that time if a vehicle is found to be disabled/abandoned the owner will be sited.

From there the owner will have 2 additional weeks to have the vehicle removed/restored to working condition. At which point if not addressed, the owner will summoned to Mayor's Court on 11/16/2022.
