🚒 TRAINING TOGETHER. RESPONDING BETTER TOGETHER. 🚒
Tonight, the Dallas Center Fire Dept invited your Adel Volunteer Fire Department to join them for an evening of hands-on vehicle extrication and technical rescue training.
Dallas Center recently added new battery-operated hydraulic rescue tools (commonly known as the “Jaws of Life”), while our department recently acquired new inflatable lifting bags.
Midwest Misfits and Feld Fire Equipment, joined us to provide instruction on both the fundamentals and several advanced technical rescue techniques, helping firefighters from both departments better understand the capabilities and applications of this equipment.
Training opportunities like this are invaluable. Not only do they help us become more proficient with our tools, but they also strengthen the relationships and teamwork between neighboring departments before we meet on an actual emergency scene.
A big THANK YOU to Dallas Center Fire Department for the invitation and hospitality, and to Midwest Misfits / Feld Fire Equipment for sharing their knowledge, experience, and expertise! Also, a shout out to our friends at Dan's Towing & Service for delivering the cars from Hawkeye Auto Salvage for us to destroy.
🚒 Different departments. One mission. Better prepared to serve our communities.
