🚑 EMS Week – Safety Day 🚑

Today we’re focusing on something just as important as patient care, provider safety. EMS Safety Day is a reminder to reduce risk and protect our crews on every call.
In today’s spotlight, our crews demonstrate the use of tools designed to reduce injuries and promote proper lifting techniques, including the Binder Lift, Ferno battery-powered stair chair, and Stryker Power-Load cot. These innovations help our responders safely move patients while minimizing strain and the risk of injury.
Safety starts with preparation and prevention. Whether it’s maintaining equipment, practicing situational awareness, or supporting one another’s physical and mental well-being, we’re dedicated to making sure every member of our team goes home safe.
💙 Thank you to all our EMS professionals for their constant commitment to safety and service, protecting our community while protecting one another.

📚🚑 EMS Week – Education Day 🚑📚

In EMS, learning never stops. Every call is different, and staying prepared means staying educated.

At Dallas County EMS, we are committed to providing our crews with ongoing training and growth opportunities to ensure the highest level of care for our community. Over the past year, we’ve provided 74 continuing education opportunities and countless hours for our staff.

Our education efforts include:
• Monthly protocol reviews to stay current with best practices
• Training with outside guest instructors to bring in new perspectives and expertise
• Hands-on training to sharpen real-world skills
• Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) drills to ensure we’re ready when it matters most

EMS is always evolving, and it’s critical that we continue to learn, adapt, and improve. Education isn’t just part of the job—it’s what helps us provide safe, effective, and high-quality care every single day.
