Gratitude and collaboration in action: Thank you to everyone who donated equipment, pump testing, and assistance loading the apparatus for delivery to Tyrrell County Fire Department. Thankful to those that donated anonymously as well.

After acquiring a new to us truck last year, we were able today to donate our previous first-out engine to a North Carolina department launching a new substation — extending the service life of vital apparatus and strengthening regional capacity.

This is a practical example of mutual aid and resource stewardship across the emergency services ecosystem — fire, rescue, law enforcement, EMS, and private-sector partners like towing and recovery and fire apparatus service testing and repair.

While operational approaches may differ, when communities or families are in need, first responders coordinate and deliver.

We’re sad to see her go but proud we were all able to make a difference together.
