Ready to start a life-saving career in healthcare without the burden of tuition? 🚑✨

AMR Hawaii is working with Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center () to offer a paid EMT training program starting January 2027 in Waianae! That means free training, a paycheck while you learn, and a job at AMR Hawaii as an Emergency Medical Technician upon completion.

What is an EMT?
Emergency Medical Technicians are the frontline heroes in our community. They respond to 911 emergencies in ambulances, provide crucial medical care, and save lives every day.

Simple environmental adjustments significantly lower fall risks and help keep kupuna safe and independent.

Meet the newest member of the AMR Hawaiʻi ʻohana! 🐾❤️
Stormie is a Mini Australian Labradoodle and AMR Hawaiʻi’s newest therapy dog in training, primarily serving our Honolulu County team.
Originally nicknamed “Lightning” for her bolt-shaped tail, Stormie received her official name as a tribute to the Kona Low storms that impacted our islands. Now, she’s ready to emBARK on an important new mission alongside AMR Hawaiʻi’s Peer Support Team.
As she continues her training, Stormie will serve as a valuable resource for our team, providing comfort, connection and a little extra support during those long shifts. She’s already making PAWsitive impacts everywhere she goes, and we’re so excited to have her as part of the AMR Hawaiʻi family!
