Aiken County Democratic Party Most decisions about women's health and welfare are made by men, although there are more women than men voters in South Carolina and Aiken County.

The mission of the Aiken County Democratic Party is to educate and encourage participation in the political process by people of all backgrounds who support the Democratic National Committee Platform. The Aiken County Democratic Women's Club is organized to engage more women in politics in order to gain an active voice. The ACDWC is committed to encourage, support, and empower all democratic women in achieving their personal and political goals.

Jason Payne is the Democratic candidate for South Carolina House District 83, which includes parts of Aiken and Edgefield counties.

Payne is a U.S. Army veteran with more than 20 years of service and lives in North Augusta with his family. His campaign emphasizes community service and putting local concerns ahead of partisan politics.
