The Town of Akron is aware of water surfacing near the intersection of Highways 34 and 63.

The leak has been identified as a leaking water valve, and Town staff are actively working toward a timely repair.

We plan to meet with a contractor tomorrow morning to evaluate the necessary repairs and develop an appropriate traffic control plan, given the high volume of traffic at this intersection.

We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we work to address this issue safely and efficiently. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.
