On Friday, September 25, join Putnam History Museum for Benedict Arnold's Flight!

This guided history hike follows Arnold's escape path through present day Garrison. Along the way you’ll discuss why the general, infamous for his thwarted plan to surrender West Point, was driven to betray the Revolution and how prominent local loyalist Beverley Robinson aided Arnold’s mission.

On Tuesday, September 22, celebrate the start of a new season with a Sunrise Stroll on the World’s Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge.

During the vernal and autumnal equinoxes, the sun rises in line with the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park deck, making for a spectacular photo opportunity. Gates will open early at 6:30 a.m. on both approaches to allow everyone to enjoy this magnificent experience.

Join the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference on Saturday for the Sylvan Glen Quarry Hike!

The quarry supplied honey-colored granite for several buildings in New York City, including the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Some of the abandoned cables, machinery, and building foundations are still visible along the trails.
