Linn-Benton Alert System TEST Scheduled for October 31

Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan announces that a test of the Linn-Benton Alert system will take place on Saturday, October 31, sometime between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The test alert will be sent to registered users in Linn County and North Albany. If you receive the test notification, please confirm receipt on each phone or device where the alert is received. This will prevent the system from making additional attempts to deliver the message.

Please remember: This is only a test. Do not call the Sheriff’s Office or 911 in response to the test alert.

Linn-Benton Alert is an important tool used to notify residents of emergencies and evacuations affecting Linn and Benton counties. Sheriff Duncan encourages all residents who have not yet signed up to take a few minutes to register so they can receive important emergency information when it matters most.

Residents can sign up at https://buff.ly/ELBkqlC how and where they receive notifications. Options include cell, home, and work phones, text messages, and TTY services for individuals who use hearing-impaired communication devices.

Stay informed. Stay prepared. Sign up for Linn-Benton Alert today!
