Albany County Veterans Service Bureau The Albany County Veterans Service Bureau provides information and services to nearly 20,000 veterans living in the county.

The Bureau assists veterans and their dependents in filing claims, obtaining important documents, and determining eligibility for the benefits and services they have a legal right to. We frequently aid veterans and their families in obtaining state and federal entitlements such as medical care, disability and compensation, pension, education benefits, burial assistance, and VA home loans. The Veterans Service Bureau can also assist in obtaining copies of a veterans medical and personnel records, including Certificates of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD Form 214). Veterans can record their DD Form 214 at the Albany County Clerk's office, free of charge. Copies will be kept on file at the County Clerk's Office and the Veterans Service Bureau

🇺🇸 Please join Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy, Congressman Paul Tonko, and the Albany County Veterans Service Bureau as we honor the life and service of U.S. Army Veteran Rev. Dr. Willie James Stovall Sr. at our November Honor-A-Veteran ceremony.

Rev. Dr. Stovall served our nation from 1966 to 1968 and continued serving his community as pastor of Mount Olive Southern Missionary Baptist Church in Albany for 37 years. His legacy of faith, leadership, and service touched generations.

Join the Albany County Veterans Service Bureau as we celebrate and honor the brave men and women who have served our nation with a special Veterans Day Lunch!

The Albany County Veterans Service Bureau is bringing Albany County Veterans and their families together for an afternoon of food, basketball, and community connection as Siena takes on Syracuse! 🏀🔥

We have space for 100 Veterans and guests to join us for a pre-game meal before heading into the arena to cheer on the Saints!
This is about more than basketball—it’s an opportunity to get out, connect with fellow Veterans, bring along someone important to you, and enjoy a great afternoon together.
