How I imagine many foster parents respond to these outreach calls seeking placement as a former foster youth who was never ‘perfect’ enough to be chosen.
To clarify I do NOT think every foster parent is this way, I have met many who love teens and who will only foster teens. Though I think the majority go in looking for babies and hoping for adoption.
We need to break the stigma, teens in foster care deserve a home too. 💙🎗️
