On Halloween night, the Alberton Library will be transformed into a Haunted Library from 6–8 PM.

Come make your way through the stacks, brave a few spooky surprises, and see what happens to the library after dark.

It’ll be spooky, but not too scary — we’re keeping it appropriate for younger kids, too.

The Haunted Library is part of Halloween in Alberton, along with Trunk-or-Treat at the Community Center and the All-Town Scavenger Hunt happening around town.

Saturday, October 31 • 6–8 PM

Pumpkin decorators — don’t forget! 🎃

Decorated pumpkins for our All-Ages Pumpkin Decorating Contest are due back at the Alberton Branch Library tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20!

We can’t wait to see what everyone has created. 😄

People’s Choice voting runs Oct. 22–27, and winners will be announced Thursday, Oct. 29.

We’re adding an All-Town Scavenger Hunt to Halloween night this year! 🎃

Stop at participating businesses and locations around town, collect the letters, and figure out the secret word. You may want to bring a pen or pencil so you can fill out your sheet as you go.

You can print your own scavenger hunt ticket, or pick one up at Valley Grocery or the Alberton Library.

Participating stops will include:

Valley Grocery • Montana Valley Bookstore • Trax • Buck N Bull Coffee Co. • Sporties • Antique Depot • Alberton Historical Railroad Museum • Alberton Town Office • Frenchtown RFD Station #8

When you’re finished, bring your completed sheet to Sean at the library entrance to claim your prize — and the first person to complete the hunt will receive a very special prize!

The scavenger hunt runs Saturday, October 31 from 6–8 PM, alongside Trunk-or-Treat at the Community Center and the Haunted Library.

People’s Choice Winner (patron voting Oct. 22-27): $25 Valley Bookstore gift card. Winners TBA: Thursday, October 29 so prizes and pumpkins can be picked up before Halloween.

HAPPY SATURDAY! Today is Freedom to Read Day (part of Banned Books Week). The Alberton Library is closed today (Saturday, Oct 10th), but we do have a Little Free Library! Come check it out. Also enjoy our Storywalk!!!

PS Monday is a national holiday. We'll be open as usual on Tuesday at 9:00 am! Come pick up a pumpkin and get going on our Pumpkin Contest. Entries due by Oct. 17th.
