Women's rights might be one issue on which her opponent could explain himself. He wants politicians to make family decisions and tell doctors what procedures are acceptable.
On other issues the moderator said he should have been prepared.

Gabe works for New Mexicans, whether it's with Republicans to bring benefits or against MAGA to stop attacks on our people.

Raul Turrieta believes the best thing we can do to improve New Mexico’s economic competitiveness is to strengthen our education system. He wants to bring more doctors and specialists to New Mexico, especially Grant County, where he’s running for House District 39. And, having spent 45 years in the assessor’s office, Raul believes we can cut the Gross Receipts Tax and make sure large out-of-state corporations pay their fair share in taxes.

Why won't Greg Cunningham stand up for New Mexico? President Trump has repeatedly suggested renaming our state “New America,” but Cunningham, a Trump-endorsed Republican congressional candidate, won't defend its name. Instead, he dismissed the controversy as satire and a political distraction, arguing that renaming isn't legally possible. But saying Trump can't rename New Mexico isn't saying he shouldn't.

Our state's name reflects centuries of Indigenous, Hispanic and Mexican history. While Congressman Gabe Vasquez is standing up for New Mexico and its identity, Cunningham's reluctance raises a question: Is he more concerned about defending New Mexico or staying in Trump's good graces? Voters deserve to know where both candidates stand on protecting the state's history, identity and interests.

If a policy helps people have a chance to thrive, not just survive, Lori Martinez, candidate for New Mexico House District 37, supports it. Her top legislative priority for 2027? Paid medical leave.

Her opponent’s answer? “No response.”

Lori talks about her background and how it’s prepared her to handle the challenges of representing this district in Doña Ana County here:

Grace Nagamine relates to people one-on-one and so knows how to help the community. She does it already and will do much more when she represents Otero County in the state house.

Her MAGA opponent seems to lack that ability and doesn't seem to care.

Congratulations Sarah! The Working Families Party knows what it is doing, they endorsed you because you work for working people every day.

Even if your opponent had a plan, which he doesn't, Blue CD2 NM would support you because your plans are already working.

We are a state of working families. From the chile fields to the oil fields, you power New Mexico. I come from a family of farmers and mechanics. That’s why I’m so excited to have the endorsement of the New Mexico Working Families Party. Your advocacy for our people is critical. Your support means the world to me. Thank you!
