Meet Paige Maestas, one of our 2026 Champion of the Year participants!

A proud advocate for inclusion, Paige is a caregiver, athlete, coach, and leader whose journey is rooted in family, love, and compassion. Inspired by her siblings, who have special needs, she has learned the importance of celebrating every ability and making sure every voice is heard.

For the past 10 years, Best Buddies has been a meaningful part of Paige’s journey, helping her build friendships, find her voice, and become a stronger advocate for inclusion. As a Best Buddies advisor and Ambassador Academy graduate, she continues to inspire others through football, coaching, and pageantry, empowering the next generation and showing that our differences make us uniquely powerful.

We’re excited to have her champion inclusion with Best Buddies New Mexico!

Join us in cheering Paige on!

The canvas is blank. The possibilities are endless. 💜

Best Buddies New Mexico is excited to officially reveal the theme for our 2026 Champion of the Year: Blank Canvas, Purple Impact!

This year, we’re celebrating the impact we can create when our community comes together to champion inclusion, friendship, leadership, and opportunity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

And we’re bringing the theme to life! 🤍

Guests are invited to dress in ALL WHITE, representing our blank canvas, while Best Buddies purple fills the evening as a symbol of the impact we’re creating together.
