Three New Mexico Supreme Court justices. Two major Supreme Court rulings. And what's next for New Mexico's public records law.
Join us November 16 for FOG's annual CLE program, featuring a panel discussion with New Mexico Supreme Court Justices Briana Zamora, Barbara Vigil (Ret.) and Richard Bosson (Ret.) on recent Supreme Court decisions involving the Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA).
We'll also hear from David Pardo, former Deputy General Counsel for the New Mexico Corrections Department, an agency that has faced lawsuits over its handling of public records requests.
With extensive experience overseeing public records compliance at state agencies, Pardo will discuss the challenges government employees face and practical ways agencies can improve compliance with IPRA.
It's a rare opportunity to explore public records law from the perspectives of the judiciary and someone who has worked to enforce it from inside government.
And there's more! Other speakers will cover recent court rulings, proposed changes to IPRA and how public records can help ensure equal access to justice.
Earn 6.5 CLE credits, including 1 EIJ credit!
