Here are our endorsements for County Commission across the state of New Mexico.

As the past few years have shown. Local offices, and County Commissions hold an immense amount of power in protecting our neighbors, developing affordable housing, and evaluating projects seeking to use our resources.

We can't afford to be asleep at the wheel and not follow to the part of the ballot that is making these decisions, and we believe these are the best candidates in their respective counties for working families, and we are excited to endorse them for the 2026 general election!

Round 2 of our State House Endorsements!

With early voting just around the corner, we are excited to announce our endorsements for a slate of candidates across the state of New Mexico who have demonstrated a commitment to building towards a better future for New Mexican Working Families.

We have a long way to go in New Mexico, and each election, the majority of our State House elections are decided by a few hundred votes, and we believe each of these candidates presents a unique opportunity to continue moving New Mexico forward. These candidates will continue the work of ensuring that the implementation of universal early childhood education and care is equitable for our children, and that the employment offered in raising our next generation of New Mexicans lifts up our workers. They are working towards building a better housing market for renters, homeowners, working families, and unhoused neighbors. They are working to protect our resources from exploitation from billionaires who look at our water, our clear skies, and our farmers, and look to buy us out. They are fighting alongside working people to make sure we continue putting one foot in front of another towards a brighter future, and we hope you will check your registration to see if you live in one of their districts.

Next up!

Here are NM Working Families Party's statewide endorsements. We are proud to endorse Deb Haaland for Governor, Stephanie Garcia Richard for Lt. Governor, Amanda Lopez-Askin for Secretary of State, and Juan de Jesus Sanchez III for Commissioner of Public Lands.

These candidates for us represent the best opportunity for New Mexican working families to have a seat at the table. That will provide opportunities for meaningful policy changes to address the daily crisis of rising utility, gas, and grocery prices. These candidates represent an opportunity, that with hard work people can have a home they can afford, with accessible healthcare that doesn't break the bank, and schools that work for all our children.

There's a lot of work to do, and we are excited to get started with these candidates.

Here we go again! With election day in just a month, and early voting opening tomorrow (October 5th, 2026) NM Working Families Party is proud to share our endorsement for Gabe Vasquez for New Mexico's 2nd Congressional District.

We understand the moment that we are in, as our most essential institutions are being systemically dismantled, we understand that Gabe is the right candidate for Congressional District 2.

As Republican extremists work to privatize education, to sell off our natural resources, attack our neighbors, and rename our state, while doing nothing to address the issues of decreasing affordability and opportunity, we can't afford a congressperson who would be a rubber stamp to the MAGA agenda.

That is why we're endorsing Gabe Vasquez, because he represents our best choice to stand up, and with a majority, to bring resources, and support back to the working people of District 2.

Lastly, we want to thank everyone who ran, and was not successful. While we don't win every election, these candidates made serious investments, in and fought to represent a voice for working people in their districts, as each election is an opportunity to build momentum for working class voters!
