I volunteered to be a Navy Recruiter in order to show people there are more options out there for them. To help them make the best memories, experiences, friends, and contacts that they possibly could in life. Being in the beautiful state of Tennessee was just a bonus!

Hello, my name is James Jarnigan. I am a Navy recruit of the Maryville division, and I will be beginning my career with the Navy's Nuclear Field the later this year.
The decision to join the Navy was straightforward for me. I'm at my best when I'm being pushed, both physically and academically. When faced with challenges and adversity, I believe in people's ability to rise above and overcome with hard work, discipline, and good decision making. In the Navy, these values are both encouraged and rewarded, so the decision to enlist was an easy one to make.
I am proud to have met the standards of the my recruiters, and look forward to the opportunity to serve my country.

My Name is MMN2 (SW) Vandyken. I've been in the Navy 11 years as a Nuclear Machinist Mate. I was assigned to the first nuclear surface ship the USS Enterprise (CVN 65)for 7 years. I visited Greece, Italy, Dubai, and Bahrain in 2012 on it's OEF deployment. I am one of 100 sailors to ever decommission a nuclear carrier, and 8 reactors in a 2 year time frame. I would never have gotten these experiences or traveled the world, had I not joined the Navy.
I started recruiting in 2019 to change peoples lives. I'm lucky I had the opportunity to join the Navy because there isn't a better way to gain not only work experience, but life experience working with people around the world, and visiting and seeing other cultures first hand. I am excited to help others reach their goals and access the new opportunities the Navy provides.
