๐Ÿšง Traffic Alert: Southbound FM 1187 Left Turn Lane Over I-20 Partial Closure ๐Ÿšง

The City of Aledo is sharing the following traffic advisory from Texas Department of Transportation:

Beginning Friday, October 16 at 9:00 a.m. through Friday, October 23 at 3:00 p.m., the southbound FM 1187 left-turn lane at the eastbound I-20 frontage road will be partially closed as part of a bridge repair project.

During this time, the dedicated left-turn lane over I-20 will have a shortened length at the traffic signal, which may result in traffic backups and longer wait times.

โš ๏ธ Motorists should expect delays and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area. Please drive safely and be alert for changing traffic conditions.

The forecast says fall is finally making an appearance, so it's time to get outside and enjoy Aledo's trails ๐Ÿ‚ .

Whether you're walking, running, or riding, we encourage everyone to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. While you're out there, please follow all posted trail rules, be courteous to other trail users, and remember that only traditional bicycles and Class 1 e-bikes are permitted on City trails.

And did you hear? Helmets are the new fall trend. Move over, pumpkin spice. City Council recently adopted new bicycle and e-bike regulations, including a requirement that all riders ages 16 and under wear a helmet. Parents, please help keep young riders safe by making sure they leave home with a helmet and practice safe riding habits every time they ride. See you out on the trails ๐Ÿšฒ !
