What a Beautiful Day to get out and visit the Park. Engine 37 crew as they were out training, noticed the opportunity to stop and visit the kids in the park and share fire safety and showing off our equipment.

Training Today. Prepared for Tomorrow.

A vital part of our mission in the fire service is continued education and training. We have a responsibility to ensure our firefighters are prepared for the many different emergencies we may encounter.

Today was no different as our crews worked to sharpen their water rescue skills.

To some, these pictures may look like firefighters simply throwing a rope bag. But when swift-moving water is carrying a victim down a river, creek, or drainage ditch, that skill becomes a matter of life and death.

Our goal is simple: Make the FIRST throw the LAST throw!

We are proud of our firefighters and their commitment to developing skills across multiple rescue disciplines. Every training opportunity makes us better prepared, more confident, and more capable of serving those who depend on us.

Because when someone needs rescuing, preparation matters more than ever.
