Minnesota law requires at least one working CO alarm within 10 feet of every room used for sleeping.

Itโ€™s pretty easy to give yours a test today. Press the button, make sure itโ€™s working, and check that itโ€™s placed according to manufacturer instructions.

If the lights are flashing or the gate is down, wait. Never try to beat a train or go around a lowered gate. Trains are big, fast and canโ€™t stop quickly.

A few extra seconds are worth it.
