πŸ’œ THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15TH β€” DAY OF PURPLE! πŸ’œ

The Vikingland Community Support Program team is wearing purple today to show our support for survivors and take a stand against Domestic Violence.

We proudly wear purple as a pledge to stand against abuse, raise awareness, support survivors, and remind our community that love should never hurt, and everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected.

Together, we can break the silence, spread awareness, and be a voice for those who need support.

πŸ’œ We wear purple. We stand together. We stand against Domestic Violence. πŸ’œ

πŸ’œ Taking a Stand Against Domestic Violence πŸ’œ

Today, Kelsey, Becky, and Carmen stood together for something bigger than ourselves. A world where everyone feels safe, valued, respected, and free from abuse.

Domestic violence doesn’t always leave visible bruises. Sometimes, the deepest wounds are the ones no one sees. Behind closed doors, people may be fighting battles we know nothing about. That’s why raising awareness, breaking the silence, and reminding survivors that they are not alone matters so much.

Taking a stand means choosing compassion over judgment, support over silence, and courage over fear. It means believing survivors, helping connect people to resources, and creating a community where asking for help is met with understanding and hope.

πŸ’œ For those who have survived, we see you.
πŸ’œ For those still struggling, you are not alone.
πŸ’œ For those who have lost someone, we remember.
πŸ’œ And for those who can make a difference, your voice, your kindness, and your willingness to stand up matter.

Kelsey, Becky, and Carmen are proud to stand together in support of survivors and in the hope of a future free from domestic violence.

Because everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home, loved without fear, and respected without conditions.

πŸ’œ Together, we can break the silence. Together, we can raise awareness. Together, we can take a stand. πŸ’œ

Kat held down the booth today at β€œDay at Home” at the Broadway Ballroom.

There were tons of amazing resources, great information, sweet treats, and fun swag to take home! It was a great opportunity to connect with the community, share resources, and spread the word about the services available to support our community.

A big thank-you to everyone who stopped by and to all the wonderful organizations who made the event a success!
