What does your culture mean to you, Hawks?

Culture is more than where you or your family come from: it’s also shaped by your friends, school, teams, hobbies, and community. From traditions, food, and music to everyday experiences and shared values, we all experience culture in different ways. Culture is all around us, and your unique story is worth sharing!

ALL Hayfield Hawks are invited to create original works of art and express their culture through DANCE, FILM PRODUCTION, LITERATURE, MUSIC COMPOSITION, PHOTOGRAPHY, and VISUAL ARTS. ENTRY DEADLINES
ORIGINAL works of art may be turned in at the front office at school, and should be dropped off no later than Friday, November 13, 2026 at 3:00 pm.

It’s been a busy PTSA week!
Wednesday night at our PTSA meeting we had an amazing meeting with a student speaker- along with all of the rest of PTSA business!
Tristan, co-president of Morgan’s message, spoke about the stigma of mental health and what this club is doing to combat it. With 100+ students, they are making the world a better place by being a good friend, listening and making sure students feel seen.
Thursday and Friday, we brought rocks to paint during lunch time to bring more awareness to mental health. The positive messages of love and friendship and bright colors really shown through!

Friendly reminder!
The PTSA will meet tonight at 7pm. We will be in the middle school lecture hall on the "back" of the building. Please enter at door 9. Tonight we will be hearing from one of the co-presidents of Morgan's message about erasing the stigma of mental health. We will also be painting the first rocks (with positive thoughts) to go in a rock garden at the school. Other things on the agenda are volunteer opportunities, ANGP (all night Grad Party) and craft fair, connecting with the community, and more!

October is world mental health month. Kids will be painting rocks in the cafeteria during lunch on Thursday and Friday! Volunteer to help out!

***Volunteers must be active PTSA members*** Sign up for a lunch time slot in the Middle or High School Cafeteria. We've been gone a while from social media, but we're back!

Next Wednesday (10/7) is our next PTSA meeting. Along with our regular meeting agenda we will be painting rocks for mental health awareness and placing them in a rock garden. Students will have the chance to also do this during their lunch periods next week.

World Mental Health day is October 10th, and Mental Illness Awareness week is October 5-10th. This mental health awareness coincides well with Morgan's Message an organization strongly supported by HSS students focusing on eliminating the stigma of mental health in the student-athlete world.

Meet Victoria, our communications chair!!

Victoria walked these very halls, graduating with the HHS class of 2003. Now, she’s a proud Hawk mom to her current Senior and Freshman.

She’s a passionate volunteer, currently serving on the leadership team for our Hayfield pyramid Girl Scouts and leading her 3rd grader’s troop. She’s excited to contribute to a wonderful school year and ready to help the PTSA soar!
