Outfitters is a nonprofit organization that provides new and gently used clothing to school-age children in need throughout Madison County. Their work helps local kids feel comfortable, confident, and ready for school and everyday life.

Representatives from Outfitters will also be on site during the day to meet families, share information about their services, and help families learn how to connect with their organization.

🚲🛴 New City Ordinance: E-Bikes and E-Scooters🛴🚲

The City of Alexandria has adopted **Ordinance No. 2026-007-C**, establishing rules for the operation of electric bicycles and electric scooters on public streets, alleys, rights-of-way, sidewalks, and City-owned property.

Key provisions include:

* E-bikes and e-scooters may not be operated from **30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes before sunrise**
* Riders and passengers **under age 18 must wear a properly fastened protective helmet**
* E-bikes and e-scooters are **prohibited on City sidewalks unless posted signage allows them**
* They are also **prohibited on the walking path at Beulah Park**
* A person under age 15 may not operate a Class 3 e-bike
* Unsafe operation is prohibited
* Violations may result in fines of **$50 for a first offense** and **$100 for subsequent offenses**

To help families comply with the new helmet requirement, the **Alexandria Police Department has helmets available**, thanks to the generous support of **Gaither Management Group**. Please contact the Police Department for availability and pickup information.

Residents are encouraged to review the complete ordinance for all definitions, requirements, and restrictions. The full ordinance is available on the City website under **City Forms → Ordinances**.

👽🌙💦 BACK-TO-BACK NIGHT SWIMS HAVE LANDED! 💦🌙👽

👽🌸 POSSIBLE ALIEN ABDUCTION AT BEULAH PARK 🌸👽

Alexandria Parks and Recreation is investigating a strange and suspicious disappearance from the park flower beds.

Several flowers were last seen standing peacefully in their designated spots, looking bright, beautiful, and very much planted on Earth. Shortly after, they vanished without a trace.

At this time, we cannot rule out alien abduction. 🛸

Our missing flowers are described as colorful, cheerful, recently planted, and completely unprepared for intergalactic travel.

While we love a good mystery, we kindly remind everyone that the flowers in our parks are planted for the entire community to enjoy. Please leave them where they are so they can continue their very important mission: making Alexandria beautiful.

If you have seen any suspicious activity, missing blooms, or tiny green beings carrying gardening tools, please let us know. 🌼👽
