Meet Gumbo. Gumbo came to us as a stray. He was pretty rough looking and had probably been on his own for a while. He was already neutered, so he had an owner at some point. He was so tiny and SO sweet! He has some vision and dental issues which made eating difficult--he wore most of his food. A vet visit was in order. Unfortunately, his prognosis isn't good. He is a young guy, but the vet thinks he may have been run over and the injuries were severe. His mouth will never open as it should. In time, the bad eye will most likely have to be removed. He will need to be on maintenance pain meds, and we don't know how long he has. This is the good part--one of our absolutely awesome fosters stepped in and took Gumbo home! For whatever time he has left, he will be safe, fed, comfortable, and most importantly--loved. Thank you Linda for opening up your home and your heart to this sweet kitty!
