Wille Accepts Director Position

Naturalist Billie Wille has accepted the director position for the Kossuth county conservation board. Wille replaces long time director Kendall Stumme.

"I have big shoes to fill" Wille states. The conservation department is in Phase II of a large lake restoration project. "After 23 years as a naturalist, I am looking forward to learning this new role and taking Kossuth county conservation into the next decade."

Wille began her role as director on October 19th.

Our 5th graders spent time at Smith Lake in October learning from Billie Willie and Julie. Students canoed, fished, and practiced orienteering while enjoying a beautiful day outdoors!
